ILLICIT BREWERS AND BHANG DEALERS PUT ON NOTICE IN THARAKA NITHI

Sixty four gumbling machines have been destroyed by being set on fire at Chuka Police station,Chuka Igambang'ombe subcounty, TharakaNithi county after they have been recovered from different places of Meru south and Maara subcounties.
This success has resulted from a crackdown that has been conducted in the two subcounties and that has been led by Tharaka Nithi county commissioner Madam Beverly Opwara in bid to bring the gambling using the machines to an end.Speaking when she was leading her team in burning them,Madam Opwara has vowed not to relent in the fight againist the menace."As security team in both subcounty and county levels,we shall contnue conducting patrolls to ensure that our people live and operate in a illicit brew and gambling free environment",said Madam Opwara.

Also recovered in the exercise is six kilograms and 200 roles of bhang.11 suspects
have been arrested being linked to the ownership of the consficated bhang and shall be arraigned in court.The county security boss  commended the residents who liased with her security team to make the crack down a success.
